“She enjoys rain for its wetness, winter for its cold, summer for its heat. She loves rainbows as much for fading as for their brilliance. It is easy for her, she opens her heart and accepts everything.”
― Morgan Llywelyn,
I try to live by this, not always easy to the end of spring when all is muddy and cold, and nothing is growing, and it feels like nothing ever will, but without lean times how can anyone appreciate the abundance. Appreciating the season is key to understanding my approach to flowers, using seasonal materials, grown or gathered, gives the work substance and context. Embracing the seasons, living them, then looking forward to the next turn on the wheel.
